Proudly designed and made in Australia, MATIN focuses on natural fabrications and relaxed silhouettes to create pieces that speak to an essence of je ne sais quoi within the wearer. With a design & retail background in Australian market, Matin was established in 2014 to adopt an adventurous approach using natural fabrications, and at its essence, a love of the French aesthetic. Taking note of the style of Riviera-holidaying French Icons of the 60’s+70’s, MATIN aims to translate this aesthetic to the Australian lifestyle, creating more of an undone vibe with easy-wear fabrics. At heart, MATIN has always designed with a muse in mind; she who loves French films, linen sheets, chilled reds, late nights and early mornings. She wears Matin as she lays in the park, reading the greats such as Joan Didion, Anais Nin, playing with textures and mixing silhouettes.
